Posted on Dec 2, 2011 by IEWC

IEWC Mexico has acquired DAMSA, a first class distributor of wire management products that has operated from its facilities in the state of Queretaro, Mexico since 1983. The DAMSA business systems are in the process of transitioning to IEWC's existing warehouse and distribution facilities operated in Aguascalientes and Monterrey. The integration will continue through year-end 2011 and is targeted to be complete during the first quarter of next year.

DAMSA's Managing Partner, Alejandro Mayorga has elected to join IEWC Mexico as Executive Sales Coordinator for Wire Management Products (WMP) and will report to IEWC Mexico President, Ricardo Garcia. Mr. Mayorga states, "I look forward to the opportunity to help integrate the name brand products and services offered by DAMSA into IEWC's business model and to help expand the offering into new geographies." Many of DAMSA's sales executives will also be making the transition to IEWC Mexico.

IEWC Mexico President, Ricardo Garcia suggests, "DAMSA has been an excellent supplier of several top-line wire management products to its customers for several decades and I am confident this acquisition will strengthen both the service offering and the product-line offering that IEWC has to offer into the Mexican marketplace. I am excited about the opportunity to expand IEWC's business through the new partnerships that are born out of this acquisition." As a result of this acquisition IEWC Mexico will be expanding its product offering to include several materials manufactured by TE Connectivity (formerly Tyco Electronics) and HellermannTyton.

IEWC's Mark Christie, Vice President - Wire Management Products shares, "IEWC is aggressively growing its product-line offering in all parts of the world. The acquisition of DAMSA represents IEWC's ongoing commitment to provide a total interconnect solution to its OEM and Sub-Assembly customers operating in Mexico and Latin America. IEWC's customers continue to find favor in its ability to bundle a complete package of connectors, terminals, tubing, sleeving, engineered fastening solutions and identification products."

IEWC Mexico represents a major trading area for IEWC. In addition to its local headquarters in Aguascalientes, IEWC Mexico also operates a distribution center in Monterrey. Together these two locations help to round out IEWC's global network of 16 facilities operating across 4 continents and 7 countries.
