Loose Ends

What are loose ends?

When a wire or cable has loose ends, the length will not be continuous, and it will be made up of two or more separate pieces which equal the requested length.

 

Will my wire/cable have loose ends?

Unless defined by the customer, loose ends may be included/or restricted on any product that allows it. This preference can be changed either by updating the “Allow Loose Ends” box on the product in your cart, or by updating your account-level settings with an Account Manager.

 

Please Note:  

  • Certain products restrict loose ends. These products will NEVER be sent with loose ends, regardless of customer preference. Customers will not be able to request loose ends for these products.   
  • Other products must allow for the possibility of loose ends. Depending on the product and the length requested, these products MAY or MAY NOT be sent with loose ends, regardless of customer preference. Customers will not be able to request to include or exclude loose ends. 
     

Can save my loose ends preferences?

Registered customers can save/update their account-level loose end preferences by speaking with an Account Manager at 877.613.4392 or via Live Chat . These preferences will be reflected in future orders unless changed within your cart on IEWC.com.  

Guest users (not logged in) will have the default setting to allow loose ends, unless the product requires/prohibits them.
